Job summary

Rural Office of Community Services (ROCS Transit) seeks a Part-Time Transit Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation for residents within the local service area. Service hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m., operating paratransit vans, mini-vans, and buses. Responsibilities include assisting passengers, conducting daily vehicle inspections, maintaining records, and complying with traffic regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license
• Good driving record
• Proof of auto insurance
• Physical ability to assist passengers
• Customer service & communication skills
• Criminal background fingerprint check

• Assist passengers in entering and exiting vehicle.
• Assist frail and disabled persons to door and carry packages if necessary.
• Inform supervisor of progress and problem areas.

• Comply with traffic regulations.
• Perform required daily vehicle inspection.
• Ensure that vehicle is kept clean and orderly.
• Maintain confidentiality in appropriate matters.
• Attend necessary staff meetings and training sessions.

Job Summary

Provide safe and efficient transportation for residents living in the local service area. ROCS Transit primarily operates between the hours of Monday - Friday, 8-4:30p. Vehicles primarily operated include paratransit vans, mini-vans, and buses.
