Job description

Bus Driver PT

Under the general supervision of the Director of Transportation, to ensure the safe transportation of students, staff, and others to and from school, residential neighborhoods, and field trips.

Essential Job Functions

Obey all traffic laws.
Observe all mandatory safety regulations.
Maintain student discipline on bus and follow the behavior management guidelines adopted by the Transportation Department.
Report undisciplined/ unruly/ students to the proper authority.
Keep assigned bus clean.
Efficiently follows assigned schedule.
Inspect bus before each operation for mechanical defects and safety concerns.
In case of mechanical failure or tardiness, notify the proper authority of issue(s) in a timely manner.
Picks up and discharges students only at authorized stops.
Exercise responsible leadership while performing school trips.
Transport only authorized students.
Report all accidents and complete required reports.
Abide by township policies to include guidelines listed in the Transportation Center Policy/ Procedures Manual.
Report all infractions to the Director of Transportation.
