Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in business administration (preferred), management, transportation, or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Five years of executive-level administration and management experience.
• Executive/senior leadership experience in transit or transportation agency or equivalent sector.
• Experience in a major transportation program or industry of similar complexity (bus, fixed guideway, multimodal).
• Experience managing highway or road department and overseeing road/bridge construction.

Responsibilities

• Plan public transportation needs and strategic direction.
• Direct mass transit division operations.
• Oversee acquisition, maintenance, and repair of operating vehicles and property.
• Supervise road and street construction.
• Advise Board and communicate with federal, state, and local entities.
• Champion transit-oriented development in Jacksonville.
