Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration (preferred), management, transportation, or a related field, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Have accrued five (5) years of experience in progressively-responsible executive-level administration and management in an organization that would include: executive/senior leadership in transit or transportation, managing a major transportation program or industry of similar complexity, managing a highway/road department, and overseeing road and bridge construction.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully managing a large, complex organization with significant budgets; fiscally responsible and politically savvy; with integrity and credibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) as Chief Executive Officer under the Board of Directors, planning public transportation needs and directing the mass transit division.
• Oversee acquisition, maintenance, and operation of vehicles and property; supervise road and street construction; engage with federal, state, and local entities and the media.
• Collaborate with the Board to define policy decisions, oversee financial plans, and drive transit-oriented development in the Jacksonville area.
