Job summary

Regional Transportation District (RTD) is seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead a multi-modal, taxpayer-financed transit agency and unite the board, officials, and the community around a shared mission. The CEO will drive ridership, safety, reliability, and high-quality service while promoting an inclusive workplace and implementing RTD's values.

The role requires a decade of management experience with at least five years in executive leadership within complex organizations,

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten (10) years of management experience with at least five (5) years of executive leadership.
• Experience leading an organization with both union and non-union employees is highly desired.
• Bachelor’s degree and an advanced degree are highly desired; equivalence considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead RTD as the public face and champion of the agency, ensuring trust and brand positivity.
• Oversee an effective marketing and public outreach program and communicate priorities to media and stakeholders.
• Foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
• Attract, mentor and empower high-performing staff to drive performance and innovation.
