Job summary

Regional Transportation District in Denver seeks a visionary CEO to lead a taxpayer-funded, multi-modal transit agency. You will unify the agency with a common vision, engage with officials, customers and communities, and oversee marketing and communications to advance RTD priorities.

The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of management with 5 years executive leadership in transit or similar, a bachelor’s and advanced degree, and a proven record of inclusive leadership and strategic

Qualifications

Minimum of ten years of management experience with at least five years of executive leadership in a transit agency or similarly complex organization.
Experience leading both union and non-union workforces is highly desired.
Bachelor’s degree and an advanced degree are highly desired.
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

Lead a multi-modal, taxpayer-funded transit organization with a focus on increasing ridership.
Collaborate with the board to unify the agency with a shared vision and approach.
Build partnerships with local, regional and state officials and stakeholders.
Represent RTD publicly and communicate priorities to media and officials.
Oversee marketing and public outreach to promote RTD.
Ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization.
