Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Vice President, Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead the California Regional Transportation team. Based in California offices, you will guide the Civil Engineering Transportation group, drive growth, mentorship, and delivery of local agency roadway projects in Southern California.

You will manage contracts, ensure quality, and collaborate with national experts to deliver innovative transportation solutions while building client relationships across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Engineer license required (California preferred).
• 12+ years of relevant post-education experience in civil engineering and infrastructure design.
• Ability to lead and grow the civil engineering business.
• Experience as a project manager or deputy PM on projects.
• Strong QA/QC discipline and ability to guide mid- to senior-level staff.
• Advanced proficiency with Caltrans Design Development process and highway design/construction practices.
• Proficiency with MS Office and technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of roadway and transportation projects for Southern California districts.
• Manage contracts as Contract Manager or Project Manager and participate in negotiations.
• Oversee project financial performance and QA/QC plans.
• Provide leadership and mentorship for staff development.
• Develop new business leads, client engagements and project pursuits.
• Travel may be required depending on project needs.
