Job summary

STV Incorporated, a leading architecture and engineering firm, seeks an Intermediate Transit Architectural Designer for New York, NY. You will work on transportation projects from design through construction documents, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and clients.

The ideal candidate has a professional architecture degree, 8+ years in rail/transit, and proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Office; OpenBuildings, Rhino, SketchUp are a plus.

Qualifications

• Professional Degree in Architecture, M. Arch preferred.
• Minimum 8 years as project architect in rail/transit sector.
• Experience in transportation sector and transit architecture design including stations.
• Registered Architect in NY preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office; OpenBuildings, Rhino, 3-D Max, SketchUp a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and supervise execution of plans.
• Analyze design and construction systems and prepare docs.
• Coordinate with manufacturers for specifications.
• Conduct site and construction inspections and produce reports.
• Perform code analysis, material selections, and technical solutions.
• Develop design layouts and construction features for projects.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines and manage the work.
