Job summary

Oracle seeks a Technician – Level 2 at BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital, New Delhi, to perform laboratory analyses and support transfusion medicine workflows.

You will handle specimen processing, calibration checks, donor screening, and ensure safety and accuracy across pre-, intra-, and post-analytical stages.

The role requires meticulous records, adherence to regulations, and collaboration with consultants and senior staff.

Responsibilities

• The Scientific Officer performs duties to analyse specimens allotted to him/her.
• Check specimens with Test Requisition Forms, enter data, generate barcodes, and create worksheets for tests.
• Control pre‑analytical, analytical and post‑analytical variables during test performance.
• Perform functions requiring subjective judgement to achieve analytical results under supervision of the Consultant.
• Obtain Consultant approval for decisions on calibration, control and acceptability of analytical runs for all laboratory data.
• Observe all laboratory safety precautions when handling clinical specimens and running tests.
• Prevent analytical and post‑analytical variables.
• Assist senior staff in discharging responsibilities, including release of routine test reports.
• Report any abnormal findings or test conditions requiring supervisor attention.
• Carry out donor screening and motivation.
• Perform all laboratory related duties including phlebotomy and aphaeresis.
• Issue blood and components after proper grouping and cross‑matching.
• Conduct daily and periodic maintenance of equipment.
• Complete record files and registers, and keep the workplace clean and uncluttered.
• Follow safety precautions.
