Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking an experienced Laboratory Support Coordinator for Transfusion Services to join the team in Norfolk, VA. The role supports operations, collaborates with a Clinical Specialist, and drives new programs and instrumentation within the transfusion service discipline.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree, ASCP or AMT certification, and at least 3 years of transfusion experience, contributing to high-quality patient care in a tertiary hospital

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• ASCP or AMT certification is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a transfusion/lab setting is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Clinical Specialist to provide support to meet operational goals within established timelines.
• Participates in system‑wide assignments for the transfusion discipline.
• Develops and implements new programs and instrumentation for the discipline.
