Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking an experienced Lab Supervisor for Transfusion Services on the First (Days) shift. The role leads daily operations, coordinates work, and ensures quality service while supervising staff in a multi-skilled environment.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Medical Technology or Biology/Chemical Science, ASCP or AMT certification, and 3 years of lab experience (transfusion experience and leadership preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in medical technology or biology/chemical science is required.
• ASCP or AMT certification is required.
• 3 years laboratory experience is required; transfusion experience and leadership experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for daily laboratory operations and coordinate work for assigned areas.
• Ensure quality service and supervise team members in a multi-skilled environment.
• Facilitate staff management and supervision in a multi-functional laboratory setting.
