Job summary
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking an experienced Lab Supervisor to lead Transfusion Services during day shifts in Norfolk, VA. The role emphasizes accountability for daily operations, staff coordination, quality service, and supervising a multi-skilled team in a high-volume laboratory environment.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in medical technology or biology/chemical science, ASCP/AMT certification, and at least 3 years of lab experience with transfusion knowledge;
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in medical technology or Biology/Chemical Science is required.
- ASCP or AMT certification is required.
- Minimum of 3 years laboratory experience.
- Transfusion experience and leadership experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for daily operations in transfusion services.
- Coordinate work and ensure quality service.
- Supervise and develop laboratory staff.
