Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking a skilled Welder to join our manufacturing team and work on transformers. You will assemble and weld metal components such as tanks, radiators, conservators, and frames, interpreting engineering drawings to ensure precise builds.

Experience with MIG, TIG, or Stick welding is required. Requirements include a High school diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years welding experience; ability to read work orders and welding symbols; and proficiency in MIG/TIG/Stick welding on mild

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; welding trade school or technical training preferred.
• 1–2 years welding experience required.
• Read and interpret work orders, engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on mild and stainless steel.
• Knowledge of ASME or AWS welding codes is a plus.
• Adheres to safety and environmental regulations; strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Weld and assemble transformer components including tanks, radiators, and brackets.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
• Ensure proper fit-up and alignment using jigs, clamps, and measuring tools.
• Perform grinding, cutting, and surface preparation; conduct pre/post weld inspections.
• Operate shop equipment safely and communicate with engineering and production teams.
