Job summary

Central Moloney is seeking a Transformer Repair Technician in Florida to troubleshoot, repair, and retest overhead distribution transformers. You will work on the production floor under the Repair Lead, disassembling and rebuilding units, replacing defective components, and documenting results to ensure safe, on-time release.

The role requires reading drawings, following procedures, and coordinating tests with the Test department.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in manufacturing or related hands-on environment preferred.
• Transformer repair experience or coil winding/assembly preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair nonconforming and returned units following Repair Lead priorities.
• Inspect units to identify electrical faults, insulation damage, oil leaks, and defects.
• Disassemble and rebuild units, drain/refill oil, reseal components.
• Replace components using brazing, crimping, and hand/power tools.
• Perform electrical testing (ratio, polarity, winding and insulation resistance) and coordinate with Test department.
• Document repair actions and test results in tracking system.
• Follow LOTO and electrical safety procedures; maintain a clean work area.
