Job summary

Washoe County School District is seeking a PICOLLO PRINCIPAL who will serve as the instructional leader and chief administrative officer of a middle or high school. The role requires guiding curriculum, instruction, assessment, and school operations within Nevada state standards.

The successful candidate will work with staff, families, and the community to advance the school's mission, ensure compliance, and foster a positive, data-driven learning environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience at the school site level is required.
• Five years of certified teaching experience is required.
• Master's Degree in School Administration or related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional leadership and manage the school’s mission with staff, parents, students, and community.
• Communicate effectively with all school constituencies and defend decisions and innovations.
• Set school goals in collaboration with staff, parents and students and follow governance procedures.
• Lead curriculum, instruction, and assessment to support MTSS and PBIS.
• Develop professional growth plans and supervise staff performance and development.
