Job summary

Goldbelt Glacier is hiring a Military and Family Life Counselor (School) to provide face-to-face, non-medical counseling for students under 18, mostly in school settings. The role supports military families, works with DoDEA schools, and aims to reduce stressors impacting readiness.

Responsibilities include delivering psycho-social lessons, coordinating with teachers and parents, and providing outreach. Requires licensure and CNACI clearance, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold licensure at independent practice level (LCSW/LMFT/LCPC/LMHC).
• Master’s degree in a mental health field such as social work, psychology, marriage/family therapy, or counseling.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to pass background/suitability check.
• Must obtain CNACI security clearance.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Work with students individually, in classrooms, and in groups.
• Provide psycho-social lessons/groups addressing social-emotional development and deployment stressors.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support healthy development.
• Interact with children and parents during events and activities.
• Conduct briefings and presentations to students, teachers, or parents.
• Provide referrals for higher levels of care or MFLC program eligibility.
• Reach out to parents and installation command staff.
• Submit daily activity forms showing 8 hours of direct contact.
• Report time daily to employer and government.
