Job summary

BECAUSE WE CARE II INC in Virginia Beach is seeking an Outpatient Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) to assess and provide outpatient treatment for individuals with substance use disorders. You will deliver counseling, participate in intake and planning, and collaborate with a team of professionals.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field, CSAC or MATC certification, and at least three years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field from an accredited college.
• Certification as CSAC or MATC or equivalent in substance abuse counseling.
• At least three years of clinical experience providing direct services to individuals with substance abuse.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients and provide outpatient substance abuse counseling.
• Coordinate treatment plans, referrals, and community resources.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with DBHDS and agency policies.

Education
