Job summary

Rockbridge Area Community Services in Lexington, VA seeks a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) to provide individual and group counseling within the Intensive Outpatient Program under supervision. You will help develop person-centered treatment plans and monitor progress toward recovery goals.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care, support care transitions, and work toward CSAC certification within 18 months. Telework options may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in relevant field(s).
• 1 year of clinical experience with co-occurring diagnoses of SUD and mental illness.
• 1 year of substance use related professional experience or be a Virginia CSAC.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group substance use counseling to adults in the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
• Develop and implement person-centered treatment plans and monitor progress toward recovery goals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure coordinated service delivery and linkage to community resources.
• Assist with care coordination and transitions throughout treatment and recovery.

Skills

Clinical experience with co-occurring

Education
