Job summary

Envision Health Inc. seeks a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) to join an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team providing community-based recovery services for adults with co-occurring disorders.

The CSAC conducts screenings, assessments, counseling, relapse prevention, and care coordination across homes, shelters, hospitals, and community settings, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and stability.

Qualifications

• Current Virginia CSAC credential.
• Knowledge of co-occurring disorders, recovery principles, and community behavioral health services.
• Experience working with adults with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide integrated co-occurring substance use treatment services to ACT clients in community settings such as homes, shelters, hospitals, jails, workplaces, and other environments.
• Conduct substance use screenings, assessments, and ongoing evaluations.
• Provide individual and group counseling, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, psychoeducation, and recovery-oriented interventions.
