Job summary

Worthington Enterprises is seeking a Continuous Improvement Coordinator to drive lean initiatives at the West Warwick, RI plant. You will lead CI projects, install training, and mentor teams to reduce waste and variability throughKaizen events and standardized work.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement new processes to reduce waste and variation using lean tools
• Share and standardize best practices across the operation
• Identify barriers to CI adoption and drive actions to close out Kaizen items
• Lead Kaizen activities and ensure follow-up actions are completed
• Develop CI tools, materials, and training for teams
• Communicate effectively with all organizational levels to gain cooperation
• Develop and audit Standard Work and Job Instruction documents
• Track performance metrics such as OEE and C/O's
• Other duties as assigned

Job description

Join our team as a Continuous Improvement Coordinator. The CI Coordinator leads the implementation of continuous improvement methodologies to help the business achieve its goals and objectives. Will develop and deploy lean knowledge, culture, principles, tools and techniques across the facility. This role is replacing someone who was recently promoted. *Exceptional leadership and company culture along with advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Establish, train, and implement new processes that remove waste and reduce variation using lean tools and principles.
• Share and standardize best practices across the operation.
• Helps identify and remove barriers to implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) processes.
• Lead and mentor team defined Kaizen activities. Assists with the necessary follow-up actions to close out "to do" action items after Kaizen Events.
• Possesses knowledge of CI and helps develop and provide CI tools, materials, and training.
• Capable of influencing, getting cooperation, and action from others without having direct control. Ability to effectively communicate, work, and relate with people at all levels of the organization.
• Incorporation and effective utilization of Lean Tools and TWI (Training within Industry) employee development techniques within all Value Streams, support activities, and administrative functions. Lead and direct development and auditing of Job Instruction writing and Standard Work development.
• Develop and monitor performance tracking KPI's i.e. OEE, C/O's etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Experience

• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) with ability to communicate at all organizational levels.
• Six Sigma and Lean Methodology knowledge and or training
• Strong Computer Skills - Microsoft Office, Excel and Power Point
• Knowledge of Distribution/ Production lines/Manufacturing experience
• Strong organization and record keeping skills and solid understanding of safety policies and procedures
• Problem solving skills with the ability to drive resolution

Compensation

- $46,000-$62,000 base salary and quarterly profit-sharing bonus. This role will be on-site at the West Warwick Plant.
