Job summary

Waste Pro of Florida in Cape Coral, FL is seeking a general labor technician to maintain the building and grounds at the Waste Pro Transfer Station facility. This role emphasizes hands-on upkeep and safety compliance in a busy work environment.

You will perform routine maintenance, clean restrooms and storage areas, inspect the grounds, use basic hand and power tools, and assist with safety procedures for trailer spotting and floor tipping as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• General building maintenance.
• Cleanliness of facility including restrooms, storage areas, garages, and grounds.
• Walks property to check for repairs.
• Removes environmental hazards.
• Maintains a safe parking lot and surrounding property.
• Maintains ground foliage: mow, trim, weed, edge, gutters as needed.
• Paints specified areas as determined.
• Assist with tipping floors safety protocol — spotting trailers per safety procedures.
