Job summary

Waste Pro is hiring a Recycle Center Yard Helper in Florida. You will process and prepare materials for recycling, inspect loads, sort materials, and operate equipment within a Waste Pro recycling facility.

The job requires a high school education or GED, ability to use hand and power tools, and the ability to work with a team or alone. Physical duties include lifting and pushing up to 50 pounds, and performing daily maintenance of equipment.

Qualifications

• High School education/GED or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and work as a team or independently.
• CDL not required.

Responsibilities

• Process and prepare materials for recycling, inspecting loads, removing debris from material to be recycled.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment both inside and outside the facility.
• Ensure that commodities are loaded, transported and stored in an efficient and timely manner.
• Work with the team onsite to complete daily maintenance of concrete crushing equipment including cleaning, greasing and fueling.
• Observe and report any potential malfunctions.
• Operate the weight station scale.
• Greets and assists the public in a friendly manner providing quality customer service.
