$18.88 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. North Area/Titusville Transfer Station. Work schedule is variable which includes evenings, weekends and holidays. Performs entry level service work at a landfill site, disposing of solid waste and maintaining the grounds. This is heavy physical work and includes exposure to hazardous materials, dirt, dust, odors, fumes, moving machinery, noise and vermin.
Duties include
Six (6) months of experience performing manual labor, lawn maintenance, grounds maintenance, or other similar outdoor labor.
Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must be able to read contractor-generated hauling tickets identifying contents and cubic yards and write simple records and/or reports. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
