Job summary

The University of Texas Permian Basin invites applications for a Transfer Recruitment Specialist who will manage a transfer-recruitment territory and serve as the primary university contact for prospective transfer students and community-college partners. This role develops recruitment plans, conducts outreach, and builds relationships to support transfer enrollment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with campus offices, planning events, and analyzing recruitment activity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of experience in student recruitment, transfer services, enrollment services, academic advising, community-college outreach, or related higher-education field.
• Experience managing a territory, caseload, or recurring outreach workflow with documented follow-up expectations.
• Ability to travel extensively, operate a licensed motor vehicle, and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned transfer-recruitment territory or market and maintain current knowledge of its institutions, student populations, opportunities, barriers, and enrollment trends.
• Develop and execute territory recruitment plans, travel schedules, outreach calendars, and follow-up activities aligned with established goals and budget parameters.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with community colleges, advisors, counselors, alumni, prospective students, families, and other partners that support transfer enrollment.
• Track territory activity and results and adjust assigned outreach tactics based on documented response, engagement, and enrollment patterns.
• Communicate with prospective transfer students through Slate or another designated CRM using phone, email, text messaging, appointments, presentations, and approved campaigns.
• Plan, organize, attend, and evaluate transfer recruitment events, community-college visits, fairs, presentations, and University programs on and off campus.
• Maintain timely follow-up and accurate CRM records for assigned prospects, contacts, events, outreach activity, and next steps.
