Job summary

The University of Texas Permian Basin seeks a Transfer Specialist who will guide prospective transfer students through the admissions process, manage a recruitment territory, and work with internal and external partners to meet enrollment goals.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, at least three years in college admissions or related field, strong presentation and communication skills, and willingness to travel locally; familiarity with PeopleSoft or Slate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years of work experience in college admissions, advising, student recruitment, or related field.
• Excellent presentation, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Able to travel locally for this position.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for prospective transfer students within an assigned recruitment territory.
• Recruit, admit, and evaluate transfer applicants based on admissions requirements.
• Develop recruitment strategies, plans and regional/local travel.
• Correspond with prospective students through CRM systems (text, email, phone).
• Process admissions applications and make recommendations for admission.
• Organize and attend Admissions events and campus programs.
• Analyze admissions data and create reports to assess results.
• Maintain effective relationships with colleagues, students, and staff.
