Job summary

The College for Creative Studies (CCS) in Detroit seeks a Transfer Credit Coordinator to lead CCS's transfer credit evaluation process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with policies. You will collaborate with academic departments, admissions, and advising to maintain credit placement integrity and efficient workflows.

Responsibilities include processing transcripts in DegreeSight, coordinating with faculty for course equivalencies, and supporting transfer pathways for students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two or more years of experience in Transfer Admissions or Transfer Student Advising in higher education.
• Familiarity with the Michigan Transfer Agreement, MACRAO frameworks preferred.
• Experience with CRM/ERP/SIS systems; DegreeSight and TargetX preferred.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Strong written communication and ability to translate policy for diverse audiences.
• Background in or working knowledge of fine arts, design, or related creative discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process college transcripts through DegreeSight, validating AI-generated equivalency recommendations.
• Coordinate with Admissions Counselors and Academic Advisors to collect syllabi/work samples for equivalency.
• Monitor evaluation tasks and manage turnaround times, flag bottlenecks and system issues.
• Oversee and guide students pursuing credit through Prior Learning Assessment.
• Develop an archive of studio course credit to support transfer pathways.
• Assist in mapping articulation agreements and equivalency tables into DegreeSight.
• Communicate across Admissions, Advising and Registration with clear documentation.
