Job summary

North Central College seeks an Associate Director of Transfer Admission and Initiatives to engage with prospective transfer students, explain admissions and financial aid, and coordinate transfer credit evaluations.

The role requires building partnerships with community colleges, visiting campuses, and guiding applicants through the transfer decision process. Some evening/weekend work may be required, with potential remote work as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to counsel prospective transfers regarding admission, financial aid and transfer credits with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of transfer processes and community college networks; ability to work independently and remotely if needed.
• Experience with evaluating transcripts and calculating GPA for admissions and scholarships.

Responsibilities

• Interact with prospective transfer students and maintain contact to keep North Central College top of mind.
• Represent NCC at college fairs and visit community colleges regularly.
• Meet with community college advisors and transfer coordinators to build partnerships.
• Guide students through admissions and financial aid processes and discuss transfer credit implications.
• Perform unofficial transcript evaluations and suggest courses when needed.
• Review transfer applications and related documents to recommend admission and scholarships.
• Assist students and families with understanding and applying for scholarships and aid.
• Participate in committees and coordinate with campus departments to support transfer enrollment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
