Job summary

FMOL Health in Mississippi is seeking a Transfer Center RN to coordinate safe transfers for patients with emergent or urgent needs between FMOLHS facilities and receiving facilities.

You will document and communicate transfer details in the EMR, assess patient conditions, and ensure EMTALA compliance while supporting hospital staff and transport teams.

The role requires 3 years of nursing experience, ADN, and an active Mississippi RN license.

• Experience: 3 years in general or specialty nursing practice.
• Education: ADN.
• Licensure: Mississippi RN license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage patient transfer requests.
• Expedite and coordinate transfers between FMOLHS facilities and external facilities.
• Document transfers and supporting information in the department database.
• Transcribe interactions and provide information to physicians, EDs, transfer centers, or hospital units.
• Import medical records and imaging into the EMR and provide records for transfers out to non-FMOLHS facilities.
• Comply with EMTALA and FMOLHS policies while maintaining regulatory standards.
