Responsibilities

  • Process and issue transcript requests electronically and by mail, including external orders.
  • Answer transcript inquiries from students and others; assist with ordering and unofficial transcripts.
  • Manage departmental email and coordinate information distribution about transcripts.
  • Retrieve records from vault and scan into document imaging for Admissions.
  • Issue course descriptions as requested.
  • File records in vault after imaging is complete.
  • Assist walk-in students with transcript requests and questions.
  • Perform other duties as required by supervisor.

The Transcript Specialist II position is responsible for but not limited to:

  • Processing and issuing transcript requests both electronically and paper, including mail orders from other institutions, individual students and through Parchment.
  • Answering incoming calls to the department, assisting with transcript inquiries for current and former students, assists with ordering transcripts, and process for ordering unofficial transcripts, determining if transcripts have been received from other schools, answering all general questions regarding transcripts; assisting special investigators, employers, and other colleges with transcript inquiries, background checks, degree verifications, etc.
  • Managing departmental email, including processing and issuing transcripts, corresponding with other departments to assist in distribution of information in regards to transcripts.
  • Retrieve records from the vault and scan into document Imaging, scanning for Admissions as requested.
  • Issue course descriptions as requested
  • File records in vault after completion of document imaging process
  • Assist walk-in student's with requests for transcripts, general questions, etc.
  • Other duties as required by supervisor
