Job summary

Bergstein Flynn Knowlton & Pollina PLLC, a NYC boutique law firm focusing on real estate, seeks a Paralegal for its Transactional Real Estate practice. You will manage closing workflows, prepare lease and purchase documents, and support both transactional and litigation matters with attention to detail.

You’ll collaborate closely with partners and clients, grow your expertise in sophisticated real estate matters, and thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment in New York City.

Qualifications

• Paralegal or legal assistant experience in a law firm, with real estate transactions focus.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple concurrent closings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to interact with clients and attorneys.
• Comfortable learning and using new legal tech tools and systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage transactional workflows from intake to closing with attorneys and clients.
• Prepare commercial leases: SNDAs, estoppels, guaranties, subleases, licenses; track dates.
• Support condo & co-op board representation; draft governing documents and materials.
• Prepare documents for purchase and sale transactions; facilitate closings.
• Support construction practice: AIA documents, lien waivers, access agreements.
• Handle entity work: SPE formation, resolutions, org charts.
• Maintain meticulous transaction files and organize documents.
• Communicate with title companies, lenders, opposing counsel to move deals forward.
• Assist multiple attorneys on concurrent transactions and manage deadlines.
