Job summary

BCLP is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to join our team in New York. Under the Associate Director of Paralegals and Real Estate Team Lead, you will assist attorneys in commercial real estate, acquisitions, real estate finance, leasing and development.

The role requires strong document drafting, coordination of closing processes, title and survey review, and timely pre/post-closing work, with opportunities to work across multiple major real estate transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred.
• 6–10 years’ experience with RE transactional work including title and survey.
• Some travel could be required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate documentation and closing of real estate transactions, including sales, purchases, leases and financing.
• Review title commitments, title documents and surveys.
• Draft and edit transaction documents and closing documents.
• Ensure pre-closing preparation and post-closing follow-up are completed timely.
• Perform legal research and utilize Westlaw or Lexis as needed.
• Maintain organized files for voluminous transactions.
