Bergstein Flynn Knowlton & Pollina PLLC is seeking an Associate Attorney – Commercial Leasing to join our NYC real estate practice. You will own matters, manage deals from inception to closing, and advise clients across office, retail, and industrial leases.

Formación

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in New York.
• Approximately 4–7 years of transaction real estate experience, especially representing or advising cooperative/condominium boards.
• Experience drafting and negotiating governing documents, vendor/contractor agreements, closing documents, and commercial leases.
• Ability to act as transfer agent for cooperatives and review stock and lease transfers.
• Strong writing/research skills and ability to communicate complex issues clearly.

Responsabilidades

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases for landlord and tenant clients across office, retail, and industrial properties.
• Represent parties at all stages of the leasing process, including LOIs and final lease drafts.
• Draft and negotiate ancillary lease documents (SNDAs, estoppel certificates, guaranties).
• Advise on build-out, alterations, and construction provisions in leases; review AIA contracts where applicable.
• Draft and negotiate access license agreements related to construction or alteration work.
• Advise clients on local, state, and federal compliance issues affecting leased space.
• Support financing/refinancing transactions involving leased or income-producing property.
• Coordinate lease closings and transaction logistics; ensure accurate documentation and timing.
• Advise on lease disputes and coordinate with litigation counsel when needed.
