Job summary

Ice Miller LLP is seeking a Legal Services Assistant for our transactional practice groups assisting with commercial transactions and providing support to attorneys and other professionals. Successful candidates will be eager to learn multiple practice areas as needed, adopt firm technology, and contribute to a high performing team. Government Affairs experience is a PLUS.

Salary in the range of $56,000 - $75,000 dependent experience level.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2 years of commercial transactional, Public Finance, or Real Estate experience in a legal setting preferred.
• Experience with legal document work is required.
• Experience in government is a plus.
• Proficient or intermediate experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent clerical skills and knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of administrative practice with focus on exceptional client service.
• Prepare and draft correspondence, memos, and legal documents.
• Process outgoing correspondence and arrange for courier services.
• Monitor, organize and prioritize ongoing client projects.
• Coordinate travel, meetings, and conference calls including IT and facilities set-ups.
• Organize and maintain files, electronic and physical.
• Proofread and edit documents for proper formatting, grammar, and spelling.
• Manage scheduling of meetings, appointments, and due dates on electronic calendars.
• Maintain data in integrated databases containing client and matter information.
