Job summary

Pelican Bay Foundation in Naples, FL is seeking a part-time Tram Operator to provide courteous rides, maintain schedules, and assist members and guests.

The role requires a valid driver's license, safe driving, ability to sit or drive long hours, and endurance to work outdoors in heat and humidity.

You will also help with tram cleaning and share knowledge about Pelican Bay's history, events, and amenities; the position offers competitive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide tram services in a courteous and efficient manner, maintaining schedules.

• Clean the tram before and during shifts.

The schedule for this position is Tuesday through Thursday from 7:00am-2:00pm and Friday from 10:30am-5:45pm.

What You’ll Do

• Provides tram services as assigned in a courteous and efficient manner. Assures that tram schedules are maintained, safe practices are adhered to, and members and their guests experience enjoyable rides.
• Serves as an information source on the history, characteristics, and environment of Pelican Bay as well as current/future events and activities.
• Cleans assigned tram, including initial cleaning before the beginning of a shift and periodic cleaning during the shift.

Requirements

Skills & Experience

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
• Must have the ability to drive safely, both during the day and in the evening
• Must be able to sit/drive for long periods of time
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including high temperatures, intense sunlight, high humidity, wind, and rain
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds

Education

• Minimum High school diploma/GED or equivalent
• Any combination of education, training, and work experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described
