Job summary

TALENT Software Services seeks a TrakSYS Support Engineer in Richmond, VA to provide technical support, maintenance, and enhancements for TrakSYS MES solutions. You will diagnose issues, support end users, monitor performance, and ensure MES operation across manufacturing environments.

The role requires hands-on TrakSYS MES experience, SQL Server proficiency, and strong communication. Night shifts and occasional travel between Richmond, VA and Hopkinsville, KY may be required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with TrakSYS MES (version 12 preferred).
• Understanding of TrakSYS architecture and core configurations.
• Proficiency in C#/.Net, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong SQL Server skills (queries and stored procedures).
• Experience with IIS, Windows Server, and basic networking concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Willingness to work night shifts and travel between Richmond, VA and Hopkinsville, KY as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1/2 support for TrakSYS MES application.
• Monitor system performance and ensure uptime.
• Identify root causes and coordinate fixes with development, ERP, WMS, and other teams.
• Query TrakSYS SQL Server database to investigate data discrepancies.
• Troubleshoot integration with ERP (SAP), WMS (BlueYonder), and OPC (KepServer).
• Triage configurations and apply changes to modules, services, and workflows.
• Manage incidents and service requests via ticketing tools (ServiceNow).
• Maintain support docs, change logs, and knowledge base articles.
• Track SLAs, KPIs and recurring issues for continuous improvement.
• Support scheduled maintenance, upgrades, and deployments.

Job Description:

The TrakSYS Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and enhancements for TrakSYS-based MES solutions. The role involves diagnosing and resolving system issues, supporting end users, monitoring performance, and ensuring seamless MES operation across manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 1 / Level 2 Support for TrakSYS MES application.
• Monitor system performance and ensure continuous up time.
• Identify root causes and coordinate fixes with development team, ERP team, WMS team, Infrastructure team, Network team or Vendor team and business users.
• Query and analyze TrakSYS SQL Server database table for investigation and resolve data-related discrepancies to maintain data accuracy.
• Troubleshoot TrakSYS integration issues with ERP (e.g., SAP), WMS (e.g., BlueYonder), and PLCs (e.g., KepServer OPC).
• Troubleshoot TrakSYS configurations (e.g., Modules, Services and Workflows) and apply changes.
• Handle incident management and services requests through ticketing tools e.g., ServiceNow.
• Maintain support documentation, change logs, and knowledge base articles.
