Qualifications

• Candidates should be current sophomores or higher and enrolled at an accredited university.
• Interest in agronomy, horticulture, plant physiology, genetics or related fields is preferred.
• Relocation to Johnston, Iowa is required for the internship.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team performing day-to-day growth chamber tasks: planting, pollinating, DNA sampling, pest and disease scouting, harvesting, threshing, and general plant care.
• Responsible for collection of high-quality data.
• Assist Corteva Vylor located at the research facility.
• Manage your own research project with the expectation of a verbal report to the larger intern group found throughout the United States.
• Gain experience applicable to full-time positions in the industry or for graduate training in plant sciences.
