Job summary

Vylor Inc. invites motivated students to join our Biotechnology Internship in Johnston, IA.

You will work closely with scientists across Trait Discovery and Optimization, Trait Characterization and Development, and the Genome Center of Excellence, gaining hands-on lab and field experience. You will contribute to gene editing and molecular breeding projects, maintain rigorous records, and present findings in team meetings.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate program with a minimum 3.0 GPA in related fields.
• Must be enrolled for Fall 2027 and able to relocate to Johnston, IA for the internship.
• Must have completed at least one year of studies before the internship start date.
• Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.
• Knowledge of general lab operations including experimental design and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Contribute your skills to ongoing research in Trait Discovery/Optimization, Trait Characterization/Development, or Genome Center of Excellence.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a safe lab environment.
• Provide technical support and conduct experiments with a collaborative team.
• Prepare summaries/reports and present results to supervisors or in meetings as required.
