Job summary

Vylor is offering a 6-month internship across our field research centers, including Grimes, IA and other US locations. You will participate in field plot management, data collection, and plant science research activities to support breeding and biotech product advancement.

Ideal candidates are current undergraduates (sophomores or higher) with a minimum 3.0 GPA and willingness to relocate to internship sites.

Qualifications

• Priority given to interns who are sophomores or higher.
• Fields: Agronomy, Plant Breeding, Plant Physiology, Plant Pathology, Genetics, Biology or related fields.
• Must be enrolled at an accredited university and able to relocate for duration of internship.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team in field plot management, agronomy, seed production, harvesting and sample analysis.
• Collect high-quality field data on traits and pests of economic importance.
• Travel to other field locations as part of data collection.
• Assist colleagues at a research center.
• Manage a personal research project with reporting to the intern group.
• Gain experience for future full-time roles or graduate study.
