Job summary

Vylor, Inc. invites motivated students to a 3-month internship in Johnston, IA within our Biotechnology Department.

You will engage in projects across Trait Discovery, Characterization, and Genome Center of Excellence, performing lab work and data analysis under supervision. Candidates must be enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral program with ≥3.0 GPA, ready to relocate, and able to work 40 hours per week for the internship duration.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate program with 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Must relocate to Johnston, IA for the internship duration.
• Available for full-time (40 hours/week) during 3 months.
• Experience with lab experiments and data analysis preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with databases or LIMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to research in Trait Discovery, Characterization, or GCOE areas.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a safe lab environment.
• Provide technical support and conduct experiments with collaboration.
• Prepare summaries and present results to supervisors and meetings.
