Vylor Inc. is offering a 6-month summer internship at multiple field centers including Johnston, IA. You will participate in field plot management, data collection, and trait analysis to advance plant breeding and biotech traits.

The program emphasizes hands-on experience and cross-location collaboration. Ideal candidates are current undergraduates or graduate students with a background in agronomy, plant sciences, genetics, or biology, and a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Qualifications

• Current sophomores or above at an accredited university are preferred.
• Interns can be undergraduate or graduate students.
• Must be enrolled at the time of internship and willing to relocate as needed.
• Must be able to work outdoors and wear PPE when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in field plot management, maintenance, agronomy, seed production, and sample analysis.
• Collect high-quality field data on traits and pests of importance.
• Travel to multiple field locations as part of data collection.
• Support researchers at one of our centers and manage your own project with group reporting.
• Gain experience that can lead to full-time roles or further graduate training in plant sciences.
