The mission of the Montana Department of Justice Law Enforcement Academy is to provide statutorily required basic training programs and ongoing educational opportunities across all public safety disciplines. Academy staff are ultimately responsible for serving law enforcement agencies and the communities they represent by providing a positive atmosphere where relevant and realistic training for new and veteran public safety professionals can occur.
The Training Support Specialist provides essential support for the Montana Law Enforcement Academy’s training programs, both online and in-person. This position is responsible for monitoring online learning activities, assisting students and instructors with training questions, maintaining training materials, and supporting classroom and scenario operations. The role also assists the Training Officer Supervisor with special projects and completes additional tasks as assigned.
The selection procedures to be used in evaluating the applicant's qualification may include, but are not limited to, an evaluation of the résumé and cover letter, a structured interview, performance test, academic transcripts, reference/background checks and fingerprint checks.
