Montana’s Division of Criminal Investigation is a diverse public safety team of professionals who provide a full range of criminal investigative services to state, local, and tribal law enforcement. Job Overview:
The CJIN Trainer develops and delivers instructor-led and web-based training to law enforcement personnel and other authorized users of Montana's Criminal Justice Information Network (CJIN), the FBI's National Crime Information Center (NCIC), International Justice and Public Safety Information Network (Nlets), the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), and the National Data Exchange (N-DEx). All users must be certified in CJIN and NCIC every two years to meet CJIN and FBI training requirements, and this position is central to ensuring that certification is met statewide.This position oversees nearly 3,500 CJIN users across Montana.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education, organizational development, or related field.
Two years of experience in training, teaching, or a related field.
Other combinations of education and experience may be substituted.
Preferred Qualifications:
CJIN certified.
