• Assist with room checks to maintain classroom readiness and standards.
• Assist with training scenarios, setting up scenario environments, and supporting instructors during active scenario-based training.
• Upload and maintain training-related information within the Academy's internal systems, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures.
• Support the Training Officer Supervisor with special projects, research, data organization, and other assigned tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support overall training operations.

Division Overview:

The mission of the Montana Department of Justice Law Enforcement Academy is to provide statutorily required basic training programs and ongoing educational opportunities across all public safety disciplines. Academy staff are ultimately responsible for serving law enforcement agencies and the communities they represent by providing a positive atmosphere where relevant and realistic training for new and veteran public safety professionals can occur.

Job Overview:

The Training Support Specialist provides essential support for the Montana Law Enforcement Academy's training programs, both online and in-person. This position is responsible for monitoring online learning activities, assisting students and instructors with training questions, maintaining training materials, and supporting classroom and scenario operations. The role also assists the Training Officer Supervisor with special projects and completes additional tasks as assigned.

Duties may include:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Other combinations of education or experience may be substituted.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of Administrative Work
