Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is seeking a Training Specialist I to design, deliver and evaluate blended learning programs at our Columbia, SC office. The role covers onboarding, job-specific and company-wide training using diverse methods and tools.

You will partner with SMEs, maintain instructional materials, and support training operations while guiding learners toward defined outcomes. This full-time, 40-hour/week position may require overtime and occasional travel between buildings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a job related field.
• 1 year training, insurance, and/or related work experience required.
• Strong verbal and written communication and human relations skills.
• Ability to develop strong research, planning and data gathering skills.
• Strong organizational skills to schedule, prioritize, and complete work assignments.
• Ability to become an SME for multiple lines of business and job functions.
• Understand Adult learning principles and appropriate learning development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates training for new hires and staff across technical and non-technical areas.
• Manages training environments to ensure policy compliance and deliver onboarding and e-learning.
• Evaluates learner performance using various testing methods.
• Designs and develops training solutions and materials for target audiences.
• Collaborates with SMEs and trainers to produce high-quality instructional materials.
• Provides support to training operations and maintains training systems access.
