Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is seeking a Training Specialist to deliver blended learning solutions and manage training programs at our Columbia, SC office. You will design, develop, deliver, evaluate and maintain training initiatives; collaborate with SMEs; oversee assessments and learner performance to meet outcomes; ensure compliance with corporate standards.

Bachelor's degree required; 1 year training/insurance experience; strong communication and organizational skills are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in a job related field
• 4 years job related work experience or Associate's and 2 years job related work experience
• 1 year training, insurance, and/or related work experience required.
• Strong verbal and written communication and human relations skills.
• Ability to develop strong research, planning and data gathering skills.
• Ability to design and develop to create outputs in various methods.
• Strong organizational skills necessary to schedule, prioritize, and complete work assignments.
• Ability to become an SME for multiple lines of business and job functions.
• Understand Adult learning principles and appropriate learning development methodologies.
• Ability to deliver training classes to 1 to 50 plus individuals.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates varying levels of technical and non-technical training for new hire and existing staff and/or teams, delivering orientation and training solutions.
• Design and develop training solutions and materials to meet learning outcomes; enhance effectiveness through revision of courses.
• Provide support to training areas, attend meetings, identify performance gaps and develop training objectives.
• Maintain/Verify Training Systems access and other administrative functions.
