Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom, virtual, and hands-on training for manufacturing staff.
• Deliver compliance, technical, operational, and leadership training.
• Support onboarding and workforce development initiatives.
• Coordinate training schedules, enrollment, attendance, and reporting.
• Maintain audit-ready training records using LMS tools.
• Analyze training participation and effectiveness metrics.
• Prepare training reports and dashboards with Excel.
• Develop and update lesson plans and training materials.
• Partner with HR, Operations, Safety, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
• Support deployment across multiple shifts and locations.

Training & Development Specialist (Manufacturing Operations)

Future Flexibility: Required to support 2nd shift (5:30 PM-4:00 AM) beginning early 2027

Driving Required: Yes - occasional travel within TX.

PPE: Safety shoes required; all other PPE provided

About the Role

We are seeking a Training & Development Specialist to support learning and workforce development across manufacturing operations in San Antonio.

This role will play a key part in delivering training programs, supporting employee onboarding, maintaining training records, analyzing learning effectiveness, and partnering with operational leaders to build workforce capability as we expand to a second production shift.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on training facilitation experience, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) in a manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom, virtual, and hands-on training for manufacturing employees, supervisors, and leaders.
• Deliver compliance, technical, operational, and leadership development training.
• Support onboarding and workforce development initiatives.
• Coordinate training schedules, enrollment, attendance, and completion reporting.
• Maintain accurate, audit-ready employee training records using LMS tools.
• Analyze training participation, completion rates, learner feedback, and effectiveness metrics.
• Prepare training reports and dashboards using Excel and other reporting tools.
• Assist in developing and updating lesson plans, facilitator guides, job aids, and training materials.
• Conduct training needs assessments and recommend program improvements.
• Partner with HR, Operations, Safety, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
• Support training deployment across multiple shifts and operational locations.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following:

• Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of relevant learning, training, education, or workforce development experience; OR
• Master's degree in HR, Organizational Development, Education, L&D, Business, or a related field; OR
• At least 3 years of relevant learning, training, workforce development, or education experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Training facilitation experience in manufacturing, industrial, distribution, logistics, or production environments.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Training metrics, reporting, and compliance tracking experience.
• Experience creating training materials and job aids.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles.
• Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to work onsite and flex to second-shift training requirements.
