Job summary

SMC in Noblesville, IN is seeking a Training Coordinator to partner with Production & Warehouse staff to track and maintain training records and deliver Health & Safety training as required. The role will also assist in updating the learning management system with training records.

Responsibilities include assessing training needs, designing materials, updating online presentations, coordinating trainings (including online), and evaluating effectiveness of programs.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to drive powered industrial trucks and promote safety.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong MS Office skills.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess training requirements for targeted areas based on performance metrics.
• Design and prepare training materials with input from appropriate departments.
• Edit and revise training presentations for online deployment, including vocal commentary and video elements.
• Assist in updating the learning management system and best practices for processes and content.
• Deliver and coordinate trainings to staff, customers or the public (including online).
• Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness and develop countermeasures as needed.
• Coordinate outside training resources and vendor evaluation.
• Develop and maintain training requirements for each job description (non-exempt/exempt).
• Interface with HR to reflect completed training in HRIS.
• Promote diversity and work with participants and supervisors on programs.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Work with Health & Safety to update OSHA courses.
• Other tasks as assigned.
