Job summary

SMC Corporation is seeking a Training Coordinator to work with Production and Warehouse staff to track and maintain training records, and to develop and deliver Health & Safety training as required.

The role involves coordinating training programs, updating the LMS with records, and interfacing with HR to ensure training completion is reflected in HRIS. Candidates should have strong communication and Microsoft Office skills and be able to work in a facility setting.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated servant leadership and ability to guide teams.
• Knowledge of adult training principles and instructional design.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate industrial equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and standard HRIS tools.

Responsibilities

• Assess training needs based on performance metrics and quality indicators.
• Design or update training materials with input from departments.
• Update training presentations for online deployment with media elements.
• Assist in updating the learning management system and best practices.
• Deliver training sessions to staff, customers, or the public (online or in person).
• Identify organizational problems and contribute to growth opportunities.
• Coordinate with external training resources as needed.
• Develop and maintain training requirements per job description.
• Interface with HRIS to reflect training completion in records.
