  • Ability to interact with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
  • Understanding of workers' compensation and liability insurance claims.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate hazards within the facility for safety, health, and environmental risks and recommend improvements.
  • Evaluate existing health and safety procedures and programs for all departments and develop new procedures and programs where necessary.
  • Monitor cross-training with training matrix and recommend /execute training plans with supervisors.
  • Lead the facility Safety Team.
  • Lead accident and injury investigations, investigations of environmental incidents, recommend appropriate action, and manage OSHA 300 log.
  • Manage the Worker’s Compensation program in partnership with HR.
  • Maintain hourly education/training records for all employees with training matrix and reports
  • Conduct all employee training on safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Develop inspection policies and establish regular inspection schedules.
  • Plan and execute annual education plans for the budget
  • Develop, organize, and conduct presentations and training programs.
  • Perform other departmental duties as assigned by Human Resource Manager

Overall Scope

Minimum Requirements
