Trek Bikes in Waterloo, WI is seeking a Manufacturing Training & Repair Technician to develop employee skills and support production through repair and rework activities. You will onboard new hires, maintain training records, and drive continuous improvement in quality and efficiency.

The role emphasizes independent work, initiative, and urgency in supporting product quality and repair tasks, allocating time between training (30%) and repairs (70%).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, repair, or production environment or bike industry shop.
• 1–2 years training, mentoring, or coaching employees preferred.
• Experience with product repair, rework, buffing, polishing, finishing, and cosmetic restoration techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onboarding and training for new employees on products, processes, technologies, tools, and standard work instructions.
• Develop, maintain, and administer training programs to improve workforce skills and competency.
• Manage and update employee skill matrices and training records.
• Evaluate employee proficiency and recommend development opportunities.
• Coordinate and deliver cross-training initiatives to increase workforce flexibility and operational coverage.
• Develop and maintain training documentation, work instructions, and process guides.
• Perform product repairs and rework activities on products and assemblies.
• Diagnose product defects and implement effective corrective actions.
• Perform buffing, polishing, and cosmetic restoration to meet product appearance standards.
• Maintain repair logs, tracking systems, and related documentation.
